Charger Superhub to Connect Residents to Employment and E-Transit Options

Revel is working to increase transportation access in Red Hook, Brooklyn with the creation of the Red Hook Recharge Zone (RHRZ) , a multi-use charging hub for fleet drivers and the public. To address the neighborhood’s disproportionately high travel times and transportation expenses, the RHRZ will feature roughly 20 electric vehicle fast chargers and micromobility charging facilities which will be open to the public for use. The chargers will also be available for Revel’s for-hire vehicles, which will provide reliable demand for the charging stations. These chargers will be the first fast chargers in the neighborhood and will make it easier for residents to adopt EVs. In addition, Revel will support EV job training with a focus on recruiting local residents at the Red Hook Initiative, a local community center.
