BR Ithaca Tompkins International Airport
The Build-Ready Program is working with Tompkins County to advance a solar PV and battery energy storage project at the Ithaca Tompkins International Airport. The area under review is a 67-acre area northeast of the airport runways. The potential project supports the Ithaca Tompkins International Airport’s commitment to sustainability and renewable energy, which is part of Ithaca’s Green New Deal plan to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. The Build-Ready Program has entered into an agreement with Tompkins County and the Ithaca Tompkins International Airport and will continue its efforts to secure site control, complete environmental diligence, prepare interconnection applications, and continue engagement with the host community.
