Current Standards
NYSERDA has adopted standards for the following product categories. Details of these standards, including definitions, efficiency requirements, and test procedure information can be found in the Final Rule [PDF] which was published in the June 21, 2023 Volume XLV Issue 25 of the New York State Register.
These standards were adopted on December 28, 2022 and will take effect on June 26, 2023. The table below describes the adopted standard and test procedure as well as the corresponding database for product certification and verification, including the State Appliance Standards Database (SASD) , the Modernized Appliance Efficiency Database System (MAEDbS) , and the Home Ventilating Institute (HVI) .
