Focus Area: Climate Resilience Initiative
NYSERDA’s Climate Resilience Initiative supports the development of innovative solutions to anticipate, prepare for, and recover quickly from climate related impacts. These include measures to equip electric utilities and rural electric cooperatives to provide decarbonized and resilient energy services that enable them to respond to climate-related events and extreme weather.
Supporting innovations to mitigate climate change
The program is essential to delivering on the Climate Act goal of improving community adaptation and resilience, particularly focused on underserved communities.
