IRA Home Energy Rebates Programs Stakeholder Engagement Materials
The passage of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) authorized a historic $370 billion federal investment to fight climate change, including new tax incentives and rebates to help homeowners and renters make cost-saving energy improvements and purchase clean energy equipment.
NYSERDA is actively working to design and administer the federal IRA Home Energy Rebate programs: the Home Efficiency Rebates (HER) Program and Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) Program. These efforts are supported by virtual public information sessions and focus groups, giving an opportunity to key stakeholders and the public to provide input on program design considerations and features.
