Stakeholder Feedback
The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) will held a series of public stakeholder meetings to gather input on the proposed criteria for determining cost-effectiveness of changes to the Energy Conservation Construction Code of New York State (Energy Code) [PDF]. These meetings are complete and the public comment period has ended.
The public meetings and public comment period were the preliminary step in the process to establish a final rule to be used by the State Fire Prevention and Building Code Council to evaluate future revisions to the State Energy Code. The criteria, developed with input received from these public meetings, will strengthen New York’s Energy Code and supports the State’s Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 85% by 2050.
If you have additional questions on the Evaluation Criteria [PDF], or the next steps in the process, please email [email protected].
