To meet Renewable Energy Standard (RES) load serving entity obligations, eligible generators can produce Tier 1 renewable energy certificates (RECs) in the New York Generation Attribute Tracking System (NYGATS). These certificates can be used by load serving entities to demonstrate Tier 1 compliance.
