    Selecting a solar installer (or installers) for your campaign is one of the most important roles that your core group has to play. The installer selection process is a great opportunity to shape the campaign to meet the goals of your community, and to get to know the solar installers who will be working with you to serve your neighbors. The process can also be challenging, as it involves reviewing multiple competing proposals while trying to make “apples to apples” comparisons. As a participating campaign in Community Solar NY, we will support you throughout this process by: • Pre-qualifying solar installers (see RFP for details). • Providing this template Request for Proposals (RFP) for solar installers. • Hosting an informational workshop/webinar about the process. • Providing a technical review of proposals by our technical assistance provider.

    The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) requests applications from qualified Solar Thermal (ST) Installers/Contractors to participate in the Solar Thermal (Hot Water) Incentive Program (Program). Qualified Solar Thermal system installers/contractors are required to submit participation applications to become eligible installers/contractors. Participation applications will be accepted at any time while the program is open.
